Mzima Springs

The biggest attraction in Tsavo West National Park is Mzima Springs, 48km from Mtito Andei

The pure Mzima Spring water emerges at a steady daily pace of more than 190 million litres, creating a vibrant oasis at the heart of the park. The underground spring water filters up through the volcanic rock of the local Chyulu Hills and comes out pure and clear.

At Mzima Springs, there is an underwater viewing chamber and you can also walk down to a large pool you can often see for hippos and crocodiles.
